Overview / Technology

We believe technology enhances our ability to get the job done. We don't use technology for technology's sake - we implement technology where and when it makes the most sense. Our clients benefit from Building Information Modeling (BIM) to SharePoints technology, used to create project websites.

Design
KAI takes pride in being an industry leader in BIM, through our use of Autodesk Revit® for both architectural and MEP engineering design. Our designers are using BIM for a majority of our work, and our clients are benefitting from better project visualization, expedited decison-making, reduced change orders, and an overall smooth project process.

Our MEP group is an industry leader in BIM, serving as a beta tester for Revit® MEP 2009, with direct input into improving the product. As one of the only firms using BIM for both architecture and MEP engineering in-house, KAI has a unique ability to bring our clients all the benefits of a project produced completely in BIM.

Build
BIM is also used on the Build side, creating highly accurate cost estimates early on in a project, automatically updated material quantity takeoffs, and a realistic version of the final building prior to construction.

As an added service, KAI also offers Virtual Design & Construction - the ability to construct a building virtually, before you construct it in reality. In other words, to build before you build. Visit www.buildbeforeyoubuild.com to learn more about this exciting service for Construction Firms and General Contractors.
