Terminal A and escalators in DFW International Airport

Reinventing the Passenger Experience

TRIP Terminal A Renovations
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
Dallas, TX

DFW International Airport began a seven-year Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP). KAI was selected to provide architectural services for renovations to Terminal A.

The goal for the TRIP program was to improve the overall travel experience for DFW passengers by enhancing concessions, expanding security check-points, reconfiguring ticket counters and improving parking.

KAI performed services for the architectural component to re-imagine and reorganize the food service and concession areas, renovate entryways, TSA entrances and upgrade ticketing backdrops and kiosk areas.

All of the terminal’s building/mechanical systems were upgraded as well. Since the airport was built in the 1970’s, these systems were beyond their expected life cycle and in need of replacement. KAI assisted in architectural work associated with these building system upgrades.
