KAI Design & Build Opens Omaha Office to Work on City Water Program
Firm will partner with CH2M HILL for construction management services

KAI Design & Build will partner with CH2M HILL, a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm in Omaha, NE, to assist with construction management services for the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) improvement project for the City of Omaha. CH2M HILL is the designer for the $57 million WWTP project and Hawkins Construction Company of Omaha, NE is the general contractor.

Construction Inspector Tony O. Dukes Promoted to Vice President of PM/CM Services

KAI Design & Build has promoted Construction Inspector Tony O. Dukes of St. Louis, MO to the position of Vice President of Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) Services.

As Vice President of PM/CM Services, Dukes is responsible for identifying business opportunities for KAI’s construction services, cultivating relationships, and developing competitive strategies for project pursuits both regionally and nationally. He will work with KAI practice leaders and sales team to lead a coordinated program to promote KAI’s Program and Construction Management services.

(ST. LOUIS, MO, Dec. 17, 2013) - Six hundred and nine days in the making, KAI Design & Build recently completed a construction management assignment to build one of the largest Ultraviolet (UV) wastewater disinfection systems in the country, to date.

To the outside world, the project appeared to be a typical construction project, but to the project team, the project was anything but typical, according to KAI Resident Project Representative Dave Tesson.

KAI Design & Build has been selected as the construction consultant/project manager on an estimated $6 million addition and renovation project at the Webster Groves Public Library.
Designs for the project provided by St. Louis-based architects Powers Bowersox Associates, Inc. are underway, with construction expected to begin in October and be completed within 12 months. A general contractor for the project has not yet been selected.
