KAI has recieved The International Architecture Award for 2011 from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies as a member of the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill team for The St. Louis and Jefferson National Expansion Memorial project design. 

KAI's Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower received an Honorable Mention in the 2010 Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute's (PCI) 2010 Design Awards.

KAI served as a design-build partner on the award-winning Chillicothe Correctional Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. The project earned a 2009 Design0Build Award from Contracting Business Magazine because of its excellent cost control, fast-track scheduling, and high-efficiency boiler installations.
